Technologies

  • Dyneema

    Dyneema fiber offers maximum strength for minimal weight. It is thus 15 times stronger than steel, while being light enough to float on water. Additionally, Dyneema excels in cut and abrasion resistance. Dyneema materials are very easy to repair. Samaya has chosen to use this material in its bio-sourced version, which offers the same performance with a 90% reduced carbon footprint.

  • Mylar Film

    Combined with Dyneema, this film reinforces the whole and offers excellent waterproofing.

  • Nanovent

    Unlike other brands, Samaya has developed a technology to create lightweight and high-performance single-wall tents. With a membrane made up of a network of polyurethane nano-filaments, it ensures air renewal as well as high waterproofness and breathability. The Nanovent membrane is combined with a hydrophilic nylon that helps limit the formation of droplets inside the tent, and with a hydrophobic nylon that allows for a smooth water flow and a very low moisture absorption rate on the outer surface.

  • Swiss Piranha

    Samaya calls on SwissPiranha for its ultra-light SwissPiranha BF stakes made from durable, unbreakable recycled plastic. They are manufactured in Switzerland and are fully recyclable. Their production consumes 13 times less energy than that of aluminum stakes.

  • Cordura

    Extremely robust fabric, abrasion-resistant and tear-proof.
