History of the Altra Brand
The American brand Altra was born from the boldness of two young athletes: Jeremy Howlett and Golden Harper. They began by identifying the technical flaws and technological shortcomings of existing models. They made slight modifications, always with the same goal in mind: achieving a model that favored maximum comfort and consistent performance.
Among the flaws identified: the crippling elevation of the drop and the stifling narrowness of the toe-box. They therefore began designing their models based on an ultra-thin drop and a wide toe-box to prevent the foot from being uncomfortably compressed at the toes. As for zero drop, now a registered trademark, it aims to eliminate the height difference between the front and back of the shoe. While this may seem aesthetically unusual, it ultimately proves to offer absolute comfort.
