  The Asics Gel system is probably the most famous of Asics' innovations. To provide the highest possible shock absorption, Gel units are strategically positioned in the midsole. Various components are used for the Asics Gel cushioning system. Depending on its purpose, the Gel unit is encapsulated in polyurethane.
