What's new about the Zinal 2?
Compared to the previous model, the Zinal, this new model has:
Features of the Zinal 2
The drop is 5 mm.
With firm, responsive foam, the midsole provides cushioning that's comfortable and durable. Its rocker promotes propulsion and smoothness for more speed on the course.
It has been completely reuppered with breathable and durable fabric to stand up to the trials of the terrain. The knit cuff and integrated tongue are designed for the ideal fit and reduce the risk of seepage.
Designed for better grip, the outsole has 5 mm cleats. You get perfect grip on wet or dry ground and powerful traction.
The midsole's curved profile under the metas, designed with a transition zone placed behind the metatarsal heads. Promotes a smoother stride and ensures a faster transition at the meta.
The Vibram Megagrip outsole ensures perfect grip on all surfaces, both dry and wet terrain, and offers exemplary durability.
Vibram Litebase Megagrip is an innovative technology designed to significantly reduce the weight of the sole by decreasing the thickness of the rubber, while maintaining the same performance.
Vibram Litebase Megagrip allows for a reduction of about 40 to 50% in thickness, from 1.7 mm to 0.5 / 0.9 mm, depending on the type of sole, resulting in a reduction in tread weight of 25 to 30%.
This reduction in thickness does not affect the performance of the sole nor the risk of laceration. The result is a very lightweight sole with patterns identical to those of a traditional Vibram Megagrip sole, and thus with the same characteristics of traction, durability, and wear resistance.
