The midsole is higher than its predecessor, featuring ZoomX foam for twice the energy kick back. This ultra-light cushioning combined with the two Zoom Air units in the forefoot guarantee excellent shock absorption and a more responsive rebound to gain velocity.

Coupled with the full-length Flyplate carbon fibre plate, you get a propulsive and dynamic feel with every stride. Your transitions are smoother and your foot strike is more natural, optimising your energy expenditure and allowing you to cover the miles at top speed.

Air Zoom

Nike Air Zoom is a responsive and quick cushioning system. Thousands of stretchable fibers are connected at each end inside an incredibly thin air cushion. This cushion is then filled with air in the form of gas. When the air is compressed, the fibers contract. Thanks to the air pressure and the contraction of the fibers, this allows the Zoom Air cushion to absorb shocks, regain its shape more quickly, resulting in immediate responsiveness in a fraction of a second.
