The i-Run team says

Optimized for more stability and comfort, the Hoka One One Gaviota 5 shoe for women accompanies you during your regular running training on roads and paths. It adapts to neutral to overpronated strides during your outings on short and medium distances, up to a half-marathon.

Hoka One One Gaviota 5, for what type of athlete, what use, what distance and what surface?

This new model is designed for all runners, regardless of their level, from beginners to the most advanced. Particularly stable, it is essential for overpronated strides to reduce overpronation by providing additional support to the inside of the foot.

It is perfectly suited for short and medium distances, up to a half-marathon.

The Gaviota 5 shoe accompanies you during your daily running training and your walking outings on roads and paths.

Gaviota 5, what use?

It combines stability and agility to provide the necessary support for the smooth progression of your training. Specifically designed to ensure smooth transitions and guide your foot, this new version offers optimal support without compromising on cushioning.

-  It is not the best fit for maintaining an intense pace during competitions; for this use, we recommend the Hoka One One Mach X, which performs excellently over 5 and 10 kilometers.

Why choose the Gaviota 5 running shoe?

This brand-new model offers you several advantages:

  • The softest foam ever used in a stability shoe at Hoka One One
  • Soft cushioning that ensures gentle landings by reducing impact with the ground
  • Breathable jacquard mesh upper: allows air to circulate for breathability suited to your pace
  • Tongue and collar for softness: comfortably wrap your foot
  • Curved sole profile under the metatarsals starting towards the back of the foot: ensures smooth transitions from heel to toe
  • Made from recycled materials and eco-friendly elements
  • Shoe focused on support to prevent excessive sagging or overpronation

The Gaviota 5, what?s new?

We compared the new revised version to the previous model, the Hoka One One Gaviota 4:

  • Improved stabilizing technology: more flexibility thanks to an intuitive base
  • Softer and plush foam for optimal shock absorption
  • A wider fit and increased comfort
  • A new, lighter design
  • A new drop: 6 mm

Features of the Hoka One One Gaviota 5

  • Drop: 6 mm
  • Cushioning: Soft, the midsole is made of a soft foam that offers you optimal cushioning and light landings to reduce impact with the ground. It incorporates two stabilizing technologies that correct your stride and enhance support by guiding your foot. • Upper (the upper part that wraps around your foot): its breathable jacquard mesh fabric ensures adequate ventilation at your pace. The plush tongue and collar gently wrap around your ankle. Reinforcements at the heel provide extra protection for your foot, while a rear tongue facilitates putting the shoe on and taking it off.

Technologies

  • Meta-Rocker

The Meta-Rocker midsole geometry, specifically designed with a low heel-to-toe drop and a sculpted outsole radius at the heel and toes, creates a unique pivot point effect that promotes a guided gait cycle.

  • Profil de semelle incurvé équilibré sous les métas

The geometry of the midsole with a curved profile under the metatarsals is designed to reduce fatigue and promote a smooth and predictable foot roll throughout the stride. The midsole geometry with a curved profile under the metatarsals starts further from the instep, with a transition zone placed in front of the metatarsal heads. This provides a more stable base for metatarsal support.

  • H-Frame

The H-Frame lacing system ensures better midfoot support.
