The fleece of the merino sheep is designed to withstand extreme temperatures: It is breathable in summer, insulating in winter, and yet exceptionally soft and lightweight.
In summer, the fine, lightweight, and ultra-breathable fleece of the merino keeps it cool when temperatures reach 35°C.
In winter, it produces an additional layer of wool over its first coat as protection against temperatures dropping to -20°C.
