The i-Run team says
Designed for athletes seeking a measurable performance boost, the Maurten Bicarb System harnesses the power of sodium bicarbonate to push back muscle fatigue without compromising digestive comfort.
This system offers an innovative approach to managing muscle acidity during exertion. Thanks to its hydrogel gel, the bicarbonate and carbohydrates are protected during digestion. The mini-tablets gradually release bicarbonate in the intestine to optimize the buffering effect and limit digestive discomfort.
Every athlete is different, so the Bicarb System must be dosed according to your weight to ensure the best results without discomfort. Refer to the dosage chart to determine the appropriate amount for your profile and benefit from optimal absorption without the risk of gastric issues.
It is intended for athletes who are already trained and familiar with supplementation protocols. It does not replace a balanced diet but can become a key asset during sessions or competitions where muscle fatigue limits your performance.
Key points of the Maurten Bicarb System pack
- Hydrogel encapsulation: protects bicarbonate and carbohydrates during gastric transit
- Progressive release: optimal absorption and improved digestive tolerance
- Personalized dosage according to weight*: essential for efficacy and digestive tolerance
- Integrated energy supply: about 40g of carbohydrates to support exertion
- Complete pack: measuring cup (A), hydrogel gel (B), and bicarbonate mini-tablets (C)
- Boxes of 4 servings
* Refer to the dosage chart (visuals)

Hydrogel
Hydrogels are widely used in the food sector, often as thickeners. A hydrogel is a biopolymer and has a water-based structure with very fine pores. A three-dimensional network with the ability to retain water.
At Maurten, the production of hydrogels is based on natural food ingredients. The structure has been developed with the most efficient energy source: carbohydrates.
