Are clothing important for running sessions?

In running, clothing has as much impact on your running experience and performance as your shoes.

For your running sessions, choose comfortable, lightweight, and flexible clothing to keep your movements free and protect against external elements. In addition to considering your physical characteristics, you must also take into account the weather and the season in your choice of clothing. Depending on your preferences, find running clothes from your favorite brands like Adidas, Asics, Hoka, Mizuno, New Balance, and Nike.

Seasonal running apparel

Your summer running clothes should be breathable and light. For tops, opt for T-shirts or tank tops that wick away sweat to keep you dry while being free to move. Avoid cotton, which absorbs moisture and cools your body quickly. For bottoms, equip yourself with shorts or tights.

Winter running clothes should be insulating and light to protect you from the cold without being cumbersome. In cases of intense cold, layer your clothing: a breathable long sleeve shirt, an insulating sweater, and a windbreaker for the top, and tights or pants for the bottom will be your best allies. To complete your outfit, equip yourself with gloves, beanies, and neck gaiters.

Also consider running socks that have reinforcements at the Achilles tendon to avoid rubbing and are breathable to easily wick away sweat, thus reducing the risk of irritations and blisters.
